1.)
This level introduces quick repetition on single notes. The lines
are to be done in the chest voice. The key to pulling this yodel
off is the tongue speed.
Begin
by slowly repeating the syllables, and your tongue should rhythmically
bounce off the top of your mouth. It might be helpful to practice
this on monotone single notes to begin with.
2.)
Try this passage in different keys to see what your range might
be. My limit is the key of G. Yours could be lower or higher. Women
should find the appropriate keys for their range. In a yodel like
this breath support is very important. Also, your tongue should
separate each of the sixteenth notes.
3.)
This would typically be the second time through a yodel passage
in a song, but because sound files take are so large, I included
just one time through.
